The Glazer Lab takes on SERMACS 2023

October 2023

Dr. Havrylyuk and Meghan had a “super” time at this year’s chemistry-con themed regional ACS meeting! Dr. Havrylyuk wow’ed the audience with a talk about light-activated CYP inhibitors and Meghan drew quite the crowd presenting our drug delivery strategy for metal complexes.  ⁦

Congratulations Meghan!

September 2023

The group had a wonderful time connecting with researchers across the NC State campus at the College of Science Excellence Symposium. We are also very proud of Meghan for winning 1st place at the Poster Session. Great job!

Welcome Katie Rose!

May 2023

We are happy to have Katie Rose join the group and are looking forward working with her!

The Glazer Lab conquers ACS Spring 2023

March 2023

Dr. Mitchell followed his thesis defense with a fantastic talk in the ACS Division of Biological Chemistry. Dr. Havrylyuk also gave an amazing ACS talk showing how to control proteins through a marriage of medicinal chemistry and photochemistry. Well done guys! We also had a super wonderful and hilarity filled mini Glazer Group reunion – we loved every minute with these awesome people! ⁦⁩ ⁦

Congratulations, Dr. Austin Hachey!

March 2023

Newly-minted Dr. Hachey gave a magnifique thesis defense that seamlessly covered territory ranging all the way from small molecule design to PK analysis of promising P450 inhibitors! We are excited to follow the future work of such an amazing scientist.

Congratulations, Dr. Richard Mitchell!

March 2023

Newly-minted Dr. Mitchell threw down the gauntlet with a “tour de force” thesis defense. We are so proud and will miss him terribly! Up next for Dr. Mitchell is a postdoc at the NIH/NCI with Jordan Meier.

New publication

March 2023

Hot off the press! Richard Mitchell created a Ru(II) complex that induces ribosome biogenesis stress and mimics – but is better than – phenanthriplatin! Congrats also to Meghan Kriger, Dr. Dmytro Havrylyuk, the Blackburn lab, and all of our coauthors!

The Glazer Lab moved to NC State University!

January 2023

We are looking forward to being a part of this dynamic and creative research community, spending time with wonderful colleagues and collaborators, and joining the Wolf Pack!
